Abstract

Background: Adolescents was the transition from childhood to adulthood. There were several
nutritional problems that occurs in adolescents, one of which was related to nutritional status.
Nutritional status could be influenced by several factors, such as macronutrient intake, vegetables
and fruits consumption, and physical activity. Objectives: This research aims to determine the
relationship between macronutrient intake, vegetables and fruits consumption, and physical
activity with the nutritional status of SMPN 2 Candi students. Methods: Quantitative research
with a cross-sectional design. Non-probability sampling was used in the sampling technique, with
a total of 91 students as respondents. The data collection process used the SQ-FFQ and PAQ-C
forms, and weight and height measurements used a digital body scale and microtoice to obtain
nutritional status data. Bivariate analysis used gamma correlation test. Results: Theres is no
significant relationship between protein intake (p=0.495 r=0.161), fat (p=0.585 r=0.103),
carbohydrates (p=0.514 r=0.119), vegetable consumption (p=0.355 r=0.323), fruit consumption
(p=0.953 r=-0.011), and physical activity (p=0.141 r=0.457) with the nutritional status of SMPN
2 Candi students. Conclusion: Theres is no significant relationship between macronutrient intake,
consumption of vegetables and fruits, and physical activity with the nutritional status of SMPN 2
Candi students.
