PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN GIZI DENGAN MEDIA LEAFLET TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN GIZI SEIMBANG PADA KELOMPOK PKK DI DESA MAJELIS HIDAYAH

Background: Balanced nutrition is one of the key factors in improving family health, particularly through the role of homemakers who are members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) groups. A lack of knowledge about balanced nutrition can lead to inappropriate family dietary patterns. Nutrition education using leaflets is effective in improving the community’s nutritional knowledge. Objective:This study aims to determine the effect of nutrition education using leaflets on balanced nutrition knowledge among the PKK group in Majlis Hidayah Village. Methods: This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 20 participants selected using proportional random sampling. Data collection was conducted using a balanced nutrition knowledge questionnaire before and after the provision of nutrition education via leaflets. Data analysis was performed using the Paired Sample T-Test. Results: The results of the study indicate that there is a significant difference between the level of knowledge before and after the provision of nutrition education using leaflets (p = 0.003). The average knowledge score increased from 58.05 ± 14.110 on the pretest to 67.95 ± 15.936 on the posttest. Conclusion: Nutrition education using leaflets is effective in improving knowledge of balanced nutrition among the community, particularly the PKK group in Majelis Hidayah Village.
