HUBUNGAN BODY IMAGE DENGAN PERILAKU MAKAN PADA MAHASISWA PUTRI FAKULTAS ILMU KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS ‘AISYIYAH YOGYAKARTA

Background : One of the things that leads to eating disorders, especially in teenage girls, is body image. Overall in Yogyakarta, 87.8% of adolescents are at high risk of experiencing eating disorders, while overall in Indonesia, the prevalence is 37.3%. People who are unhappy with their body form will attempt to alter it in unhealthy or inappropriate ways in an attempt to achieve the perfect shape. Objective : This study was conducted to examine the connection between eating habits and body image among female students at Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta's Faculty of Health Sciences. Method: This study used a cross-sectional strategy and an analytical observational design. Purposive sampling combined with non-probability sampling produced the sample. 120 female students from Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta's Faculty of Health Science participated in the study. The AFHC questionnare was used to evaluate eating habits, and the MBSRQ-AS was used to examine body image. Resuls : The study's statistical analysis, logistic regression, produced a p-value of 0.418. Conclution : According to the study results, it was determined that among female students at Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta's Faculty of Health Science, there was no correlation between eating habits and body image (p = 0.418; OR = 0.74). However, a significant relationship was found between eating behavior and certain dimension of body image, that is anxiety about being fat (p = 0,000; OR = 8,2).
